Based within the Ministry of Commerce in Riyadh, Bear Hugs creates a calm, inviting environment where children settle in with ease and grow with confidence. Our teachers take a thoughtful approach, balancing genuine care with structured learning to support each child’s development, curiosity, and social connection. From Nursery (7:45am–12:30pm) through to KG1–KG3 (7:45am–1:30pm), the day is carefully shaped to keep children engaged, happy, and progressing.

With over two decades of experience since 2003, our focus goes beyond academics. We place equal importance on character, encouraging kindness, respect, and emotional awareness alongside early learning milestones. Through hands-on activities, consistent support, and strong teacher-child relationships, children develop the confidence to express themselves and the empathy to connect with others.

OUR PROGRAMS

At Bear Hugs, every activity is intentionally designed to support your child’s development. We balance the building of essential skills with strong character foundations, helping each child grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a well-rounded, meaningful way

PRE-NURSERY
1.5 – 2.3 years

A calm, supportive introduction to group care, where music, sensory exploration, and consistent routines help children feel secure and settled. The focus is on building trust, emotional comfort, and the foundations of early social development.

NURSERY
2.4 – 2.11 years

A welcoming, stimulating environment where curiosity is encouraged and early friendships begin to form through play-based learning. Children engage in music, movement, and hands-on experiences that support communication, confidence, and creative expression.

 

KG1 | 3 – 3.11 years

A balanced blend of playful exploration and early academics, designed to build confidence and spark curiosity. Literacy and numeracy are introduced through engaging, hands-on experiences that make learning feel natural and enjoyable.

KG2 | 4 – 4.11 years

A thoughtful mix of structure and creativity that builds independence, strengthens core skills, and encourages problem-solving. Children are guided to explore, ask questions, and make connections with increasing confidence.

KG3 | 5 – 5.11 years

A more advanced stage of learning that builds leadership, responsibility, and strong readiness for primary school. Children are encouraged to take ownership of their work, developing confidence, independence, and pride in what they achieve.

EXTENDED CARE

A safe, supportive space before and after school, where children stay active, engaged, and well cared for through creative activities and structured play, with supervision available until 5pm.

 

WHAT WE TEACH AND HOW WE TEACH IT

Our curriculum is built on key areas of early childhood development, combining structured learning with purposeful play.

LITERACY

Early literacy at Bear Hugs is nurtured through curiosity and enjoyment. Children build strong reading foundations through phonics, storytelling, and shared reading experiences that develop both imagination and understanding. Writing is introduced naturally, with a focus on forming letters, building simple sentences, and expressing ideas, helping each child grow in confidence as they begin to communicate in their own voice.

MATHEMATICS

Math comes to life through hands-on learning. Using games, puzzles, and interactive activities, children develop a strong understanding of number sense, counting, patterns, basic operations, and measurement. Problem-solving is woven into everyday learning, helping build confidence, curiosity, and a natural appreciation for numbers and logical thinking.

Our science approach encourages children to explore, question, and discover. Through hands-on experiments, observation, and guided exploration, they begin to understand the world around them, from plants and animals to weather, the five senses, and simple physical concepts. Each experience is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and deepen their connection to the world they see every day.

CURIOSITY CORNERS

Each month introduces a new theme that carries through activities, stories, crafts, and exploration. This approach keeps learning engaging and connected, helping children relate what they learn to the world around them while building social, emotional, and academic skills across all areas of development.
